Arbitration - Elastic or Arthritic? (Peter Rees QC - Asian Dispute Review)

In this article, Peter Rees QC discusses a number of ways in which arbitration has failed to live up to its promises of, in particular, speed, flexibility and low cost. With specific reference to disclosure of documents and expert evidence, he argues for greater procedural 'elasticity' to overcome 'arthritic' arbitration.

This article is based on the keynote speech Peter delivered at a dinner organised by Harbour Litigation Funding for leading global firms in Hong Kong on 28th March 2017 and was exclusively published in the July 2017 edition of Asian Dispute Review.
