Alexandra Bodnar successfully defends TCC Part 8 claim for declarations arising out of adjudicator's decision: Aecom v Staptina

Alexandra Bodnar, instructed by Walker Morris LLP, represented the successful defendant subcontractor, Staptina, in this TCC claim for declarations sought by the contractor that an adjudicator had exceeded her jurisdiction and breached the rules of natural justice.

Mr Justice Fraser dismissed the contractor's claim in its entirety and upheld the adjudicator's decision. The Judge also gave some useful guidance on the treatment of existing adjudicators' decisions during serial adjudications.
