39 Essex Chambers speaking and exhibiting at the LLG Weekend School - Bristol

39 Essex Chambers will be speaking and exhibiting at the LLG Weekend School at the Bristol Marriott on Friday 9th March until Saturday 10th March 2018.

John Pugh-Smith and Katharine Scott will be speaking on "Conflict Management and Resolution: Alternatives to Litigation".

John and Katie will provide a very brief overview of the different models of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). They will describe the current landscape, looking at recent judicial pronouncements on ADR and outlining some of the schemes that are either in place or being planned, also discussing ADR in particular contexts with a particular emphasise on Planning and CPO, the Court of Protection, and Judicial Review.  They will examine the benefits and drawbacks of ADR, and make practical suggestions as to how and when to use ADR.

39 Essex Chambers will also be exhibiting at the event with Phil Desmondez (Marketing Executive),  Michael Kaplan (Senior Clerk), Nathan Hitchman (Assistant Practice Manager) and Richard Harwood OBE QC in attendance.
